Hi! I’m Manal, a UX/UI designer based in Chicago with 6+ years of experience in user interfaces, graphic design, and illustration. I’ve always been drawn to creating visuals that have personality, tell a story, and are both functional and intuitive. My goal is to design experiences that are not just beautiful but also easy to use and understand.

I’ve worked across a range of teams from corporate to startups, gaining experience in industries like healthcare and retail. I’ve had the opportunity to work with major brands like Walgreens and was part of Salams, a Muslim marriage/ dating app with nearly 4 million users that was later acquired by Match. Seeing a product I worked on evolve and integrate into a larger company has been an exciting and rewarding experience.

I thrive in fast-paced environments and love collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers to bring ideas to life. For me, great design is a team effort, and I enjoy creating solutions that feel seamless and well thought out.

Beyond UX/UI, I also love illustration. I’ve created artwork for four children’s books and have collaborated with Disney, local coffee shops, and other publishers, hopefully with more to come!
